Day 5: Malecon

We learned pretty quick that our best days were when we did not have an agenda. That meant slowing down and taking a rest day. We spent most of the day doing school work. When we visited the Malecon we waited until the sun started to set so it wasn’t as hot. We walked from our apartment to the water, which took us about 15 minutes. Once we were there we enjoyed the view. As we walked the Malecon we saw many faces. There were some individuals selling things. Some were more pushy than others. All were trying to provide for themselves and family so it made it a difficult situation. We ended up buying some expensive popcorn, in large part because our kids cannot say no to anyone! After we made it to a restaurant we decided to walk home not using the Malecon. We did a lot of walking late at night.
